POOH BEAR & KINDEROO CLASS
PRE-K DAILY SCHEDULE
4 – 6 YEAR OLD
This class focuses on Kindergarten Readiness skills. Students in this class are taught how to write their names, have a letter of the week in which they learn to write, months of the year and reading the calendar, as well as a monthly curriculum theme. Students are well prepared for kindergarten after exiting this program. Part time and Full time scheduling options available. Students who complete this program are well prepared for Kindergarten.
8:30 am: School opens, children and parents are greeted
8:30 – 9:00: Wellness Checks/ Temperature Checks/ Child Directed Activities
9:00 – 9:30: Morning Stretch/ Wash Up/ A.M. Snack
9:30 – 10:00: Outdoor Playtime (weather permitting)
10:00 – 10:15: Morning Circle Time
10:15 – 11:15: Lesson Plan – “Station Time”
11:30 – 12:00: Wash Up/ Lunch Time
12:00 – 12:45: Outdoor Playtime (weather permitting)
12:45 – 2:30: Nap Time and No Nap Time
2:30 – 2:45: Wash Up/ P.M. Snack
2:45 – 3:45: Outdoor Playtime (weather Permitting) Various Outdoor Activities
3:45 – 5:00 : Wash up/ Closing Circle/ Child Directed Indoor Activities
5:00 pm: All Programs Closed
Child directed activities include puzzles, manipulatives, building toys, art, playdough and sensory play, dramatic play, etc. These activities are “learning by doing” and help to develop children physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally.
